Job description, responsibilities and duties

Join our dynamic team supporting various countries across Zurich Group. You will become part of the team based in Bratislava and Switzerland which is working on development of the tools for reserving teams. This gives you an opportunity to be exposed to reserving practices across all Regions around the world. 

As a Reserving Analyst, your main role will be the support for Zurich internal reserving solution developed around ResQ software which aim is to standardize reserving process across Zurich Group: 
  • BAU support for Business Units
    • checking any defects that might be raised and finding the source of the defect, proposing the solution how to solve it,
    • helping with any ad-hoc requests,
    • analyse the results.
  • Collect feedback and analyse it to see if there are any gaps in the tool or if there is potential for improvement of current functionalities.
  • Writing business requirements based on the requests for new functionalities for internal reserving solution, delivering it to IT development team.
  • Support the testing of new functionalities and collaborate with our Business Analysts.
  • Collaborate with actuarial teams across the Group.
  • Collaborate with the colleagues working on IFRS17 tool to make sure reserving solution is aligned with any IFRS17 requirements.

Personality requirements and skills

As a Reserving Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include: 
  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Quantitative methods or equivalent.
  • English – advanced. Other languages are a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Non-Life Insurance sector.
  • Previous experience with reserving software ResQ is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn.
  • Communicative, understanding the wider picture.
  • Creative, open minded and proactive approach.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work in changing environment.
